WHAT IS THE PAY WHAT YOU CAN MODEL?
The Pay-What-You-Want model relies on the consumer’s judgement and generosity. Besides inviting the buyer to participate in the pricing decision, it also helps to build stronger relationships between sellers and consumers. This model also allows all buyers to purchase items more easily at prices corresponding to the state of their finances. (Tina Mailhot-Roberge, 2012) . Available for a limited time.

FAQ
What is the process like from start to finish?
Apply in the contact form provided. I will get back to you within 48 hours. From there we will discuss the expectations of the shoot, locations etc. Then when we have both agreed on the concept, location and date, I will send you an invoice. Payment should be made at least 5 working days before the shoot, to secure that slot in my calendar. On shoot day, we meet on location anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 hour, to capture the photos we discussed. Then within 14 days, I will email you a link to your gallery where you will be able to download your photos from.
How many pictures will we receive?
You will receive 10-20 images. Sometimes I also give a few additional ones as a courtesy. If you would like more, it will come at a cost of 15EUR per additional photo.
Is editing included in the price?
Yes! Editing is always included with my work. I consider editing a key element of my process. For these pay what you can projects, only basic editing and retouching is included, which is usually enough. If you need deeper editing work done, ( for example, deep blemish removal, deep clothes adjustment, etc.) It will come at an extra cost.
Do we really PAY WHAT WE CAN?
In the first season of this project, from February- July 2022 I had no minimum price set, I left it entirely up to clients to pay whatever they could. No strings attached. Now in the second launch ( starting mid-August 2022, based on the experience that I had from the first launch, there is a base price/minimum of €100.
How and when do we pay?
I require 100% of the cost of the shoot upfront to reserve the date and to reserve my time. Payments for the shoot should be made in full at least 5 WORKING DAYS before the date. A slot will only be reserved for you once everything is paid in full.
You can pay via PAYPAL, MBWAY or IBAN. All payment details are provided via the invoice.
Can you send us the RAW or unedited images?
No, I do not send raw images to a client even if you are willing to pay for it. For me I look at it like this: a chef at a restaurant does not give his/her customers the raw ingredients so they can cook their meal themselves. For me, same also applies here. Raw photos are unfinished work.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I'm based in central Lisbon, here in Portugal. For this "pay what you can project" I prefer to keep shoot locations in Lisbon (preferably central Lisbon) so that it comes at no additional cost to me to travel. However, if you want me to photograph your story outside of Lisbon, I will be happy to, but it will require a travel fee, depending on the location.
How long will this project last and will there be a new launch?
This project will be done over the course of 3 months. It started February 13th 2022 and will end May 12th 2022 (now extended until July 5th 2022). Only shoots done before this time frame, will have the PAY WHAT YOU CAN rule applied.
Yes, there will be a new launch of this project in August 2022.
Can we meet up in person before the shoot?
"Time is Money". In order to maintain this as a pay what you can project, in person consultations before a shoot is not included and in most cases not necessary. Usually though, the messages that we exchange will be enough to get all your questions answered. However, if you really desire that we meet before, you can book a consultation for €75 for 1hr below. Consultation fees should be paid at least 5 days before the date to reserve.

Since starting, I was able to work with different individual and brands in Lisbon, from food photography to portrait photography to family photos. In total, working with 19 different clients across many different demographics.

This project started on February 13, 2022 and the official end date was May 12, 2022. The primary idea when I started this was to do it for 90 days. After a couple weeks , I then extended it to July 5th, 2022.
762 photos delivered
Of the 19 clients I worked with, I delivered almost 800 images, spending more than 150+ hours curating and editing these images for the final delivery.
